The nervous anticipation over “what comes next”

The anxiety and fear

Is gone

I lived

I learned

I let go of yesterday

Not in a sense of recklessness
But tomorrow does not exists

Today

The sound of the word puts a smile on my face

I am sitting in a diner

My back to the wall

Taking in the “here and now”

I sit on the edge of my seat

Fearless 
Weightless

Let the shoe fall

Let the shit hit the fan

Whatever is meant to happen
Will happen

Today

I sit in gratitude

I embrace the good

I embrace the good in the bad

There will only ever be "today"
Today

I take each moment as it comes
