Here for now

One is happy
One is sad
One just IS

Time

I have it
I move slowly

Three men
Connected to me
Each the embodiment of their past-present-&-future
 
 They linger before me
Reminding me
Of what it was like to sit in limbo

I watch and wait
For the dust to settle
Or maybe for the shit to hit the fan

I listen and read
I acknowledge each and every word
I know they are just words

Beautifully offensive
I appreciate the honesty
I dismiss what remains

Fallacious
Erroneous
Lacking action
These words are merely verses in jest

Three men
One didn’t want me when he had me
One is incapable of love
One says that he is not the one
But still waits for me to write

Here for now to impede my path

Or to stay

Bait me with your verses in jest
No need to call your bluff
Lack of action will do that for me
The words will loop and loop and wear themselves out
